Altar servers assist the priest during Mass. An altar server helps by presenting the water, assisting the priest wash his hands, sometimes holding the book and carrying the candles or cross. While most altar servers are young people, parishioners of all by the youngest ages are welcome. The Altar Server Coordinator is a person that is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and managing the ministry of altar servers.
