The barista ministry provides a welcoming atmosphere for parishioners to visit with each other after Mass while having a coffee and a light snack. The service is offered after all five Sunday masses, including Saturday vigil. A coordinator maintains a schedule. Volunteers are added, removed or changed according to their situations.

Large groups such as the Legion of Mary and Knights of Columbus serve the first and second weeks of the month and coordinate their own volunteers. Individuals are rotated so that no one serves more than once per month. Large groups provide their own treats while the individuals have “bakers” assigned to them. Donation baskets are provided to defray the cost of beverages, drink cups and napkins that are paid for by the parish. Treats are provided entirely by the volunteer groups or individual bakers.
