Prawn Capsicum Masala
Ingredients
- 1 cup prawns shelled deveined, cleaned
- 2 medium onions diced
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic crushed
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 capsicum thinly sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes chopped
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the prawns with the lemon juice, pinch of turmeric, chilli powder and salt.
- Heat oil in a pan and stir fry prawns, until almost cooked. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pan, add cumin seeds, crushed ginger/garlic and the diced onions.
- Saute, until the onions start to change color
- Reduce heat, and add the spice powders (turmeric, coriander, chilli, pepper). Fry briefly and add chopped tomatoes.
- Add the prawns, and lastly add the sliced capsicum and salt ( if needed).
- Cook for a few minutes.
