Prawn Capsicum Masala

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup prawns shelled deveined, cleaned
  • 2 medium onions diced
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 capsicum thinly sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the prawns with the lemon juice, pinch of turmeric, chilli powder and salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan and stir fry prawns, until almost cooked. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add cumin seeds, crushed ginger/garlic and the diced onions.
  • Saute, until the onions start to change color
  • Reduce heat, and add the spice powders (turmeric, coriander, chilli, pepper). Fry briefly and add chopped tomatoes.
  • Add the prawns, and lastly add the sliced capsicum and salt ( if needed).
  • Cook for a few minutes.
