Confirmation

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, “Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the “sacraments of Christian initiation,” whose unity must be safeguarded.  For “by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit.” (CCC 1285)

In the Archdiocese of Vancouver, the Sacrament of Confirmation is typically celebrated in Grade 7, along with older teenagers who for whatever reason missed their opportunity to be confirmed sooner.  Formation for Grade 7 Confirmation is done through our School and PREP program.  Contact: Laura Carandang or Derek Hume

For adults, formation for the sacrament happens through our Right of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) process and usually takes place at the Easter Vigil.  Contact: Lisa Phillips
